Organization & Structure

The part-time master course offers a highly student centered and flexible study pattern, combining lectures at the university college with variety of distant teaching and assessment methods. This master educational program is awarded 120 ECTS and runs over two academic years. The master course has a modular structure and is organized in four semesters. The first semester introduces the student to basic sciences and is regarded as the common module for both EBMT and MPTS.

In the second semester of the EBMT the reexamination of practical skills, professional knowledge and understanding in manual therapy interventions is developed. It aims at the advancement of clinical skills and is intended to implement innovative changes within current practice.

The EBMT study program is organized during the first two semesters in blocks of four days (from Thursday to Sunday) at the University College Physiotherapy “Thim van der Laan” Landquart Switzerland. Two modules are organized in Heidelberg, Germany. The third and fourth semesters are dedicated to the development of the research project and are mostly tutorial based.
